Remove the micro SD card that came with your device.
Insert the card into your computer, making sure the card is inserted correctly and
securely.
Go to the sxthnktuning.com website and log in with your email and password.
If you don't have an account yet, you can create one for free by clicking on the
'Register' button.
On the website, click on the 'Firmware' tab and select you device.
You should see a list of available firmware updates for your device.
Download the latest files and save it to your computer.
On your computer, locate the firmware update file that you downloaded.
You should see a folder on your SD card containing several files with different
extensions.
Copy all of the firmware files to the Update folder of the micro SD card on your
device.
Do not rename or modify any of the files.
Place your car in Accessory Mode and plug the device into the OBD-II port under your
dashboard.
The device should power on.
Use the Upgrade Firmware option in settings to complete the firmware update.
On the device, select the 'Read ECU ID' option.
The device will scan your car's ECU and display its calibration ID on the screen
after
selecting the ECU type [ECU
type can be found here].
The calibration ID is a four-letter code that starts with either IK, CK, JS, or
another
prefix depending on your car model and year.
Write down or take a picture of your calibration ID and go back to the
sxthnktuning.com website on your computer.
On the website, navigate to the account settings tab and select the 'ECU Calibration
ID' option.
Enter the ID as it appeared on your device.
On the website, select the 'Available Tuning Files' option.
You should see a list of available tuning files for your car based on your
calibration ID.
Choose the tuning file that suits your preferences and needs and click on the 'Buy
Now' button.
You will be able to complete your purchase through our secure gateway.
After you have completed your purchase, your ECU file will appear in your "My Files"
tab.
Click on the download icon and save the tuning file to your computer.
On your computer, locate the tuning file that you downloaded,
then copy this file to the "Maps" folder of the micro SD card on your device.
Do not rename or modify this file.
Safely eject the SD card from your computer and insert into your device.
On the device, select the 'Writing ECU' option.
The device will ask you to confirm that you want to flash your car's ECU with the
tuning file
on the micro SD card. Press 'OK' to proceed or 'Cancel' to abort.
The device will start flashing your car's ECU with the tuning file.
This process may take several minutes depending on your car model and year.
Do not turn off or unplug the device or start or stop your car during this process
as this may damage your car's ECU or cause other problems.
When the flashing process is complete, you will see a message on the device saying
'Flash Successful'.
Press 'OK' to exit.
Turn off your car. You have successfully tuned your car with the EK1 Lite or Pro
device.
